No, you can't. But your Lexi app can be on 5GHz network!
Currently the Lexi Hub only works on 2.4GHz. This is determined by the chip's compatibility. The chips currently in use in our hubs only support the 2.4G frequency band, and 5G compatible Hubs are in our development roadmap.
While setting up your Lexi Hub, your mobile phone will need to connect to a 2.4 GHz network initially. If you use a router that works in 2.4G and 5G separated mode, connect your mobile phone to the 2.4G network before adding your Lexi hub.
However, once your hub is setup on 2.4 GHz network, you can connect your mobile phone to the 5 GHz band of your router, provided both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks are on the same subnet. For your Lexi hub and app to connect on local mode, they either need to be on the same network or if the mobile is connected to 5GHz then both need to be on the same subnet.
Most routers on the market support both 2.4G and 5G bands. Many 5GHz routers allow you to create a separate SSID for a 2.4 Ghz network.
If the router works in 2.4G and 5G integrated mode, there is a certain probability that the hub setup may fail. To prevent this fault, use the AP mode or set the router to work in 2.4G and 5G separated mode.
